ZENO Mechanical Disc Brake Complete Kit for ICE Recumbent Trikes

The ZENO mechanical disc brake complete kit includes everything required to upgrade or replace the front brakes on compatible ICE recumbent trikes equipped with front suspension or mirrored steering knuckles. The mechanical disc brake system delivers reliable braking performance, simple maintenance and precise brake pad adjustment.

With its cable-operated design, the braking system is particularly robust, easy to maintain and does not require hydraulic brake lines. This makes the kit an excellent choice for everyday riding, touring and long-distance cycling.

Compatibility

The mirrored ZENO mechanical disc brake is compatible with all ICE trikes fitted with front suspension or mirrored steering knuckles. The mirrored design allows the left and right brake calipers to be mounted correctly on the respective steering knuckles.

Not suitable as a direct replacement for the TRP Spyke front disc brake system.

Compatible Brake Pads

The ZENO mechanical disc brake uses Shimano-style brake pads. Suitable replacement pads include:

• Shimano G03A – Resin compound
• Shimano G04S – Sintered metal compound
• Shimano J03A – Resin compound with cooling fins
• Shimano J04C – Sintered metal compound with cooling fins

Using the Shimano pad standard ensures excellent long-term availability of replacement pads. Riders can choose quiet resin pads for everyday use or durable sintered metal pads for demanding riding conditions.
